My interest is in health and fitness in large part generated because I'm now in my 60's. After a life time of running there is no cartilage left behind either knee cap. For most of my life I did software development in the telecoms industry (mostly working in London, England). Nowadays I'm a Personal Trainer (qualified ACSM, ACE) working in the north Atlanta area (Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Suwanee, Cumming,GA).
I needed to get my photo into my profile and publishing it on my blog is probably the easiest way to do it. This is me in 2005 in Tahiti.Shortly after this picture I had the enormous please and excitment of being in the water with a shoal of Manta Ray's which came up and nuzzled. As far as I could tell they seemed to enjoy the physical contact with a human. I certainly enjoyed the experience.

I've been a Personal Trainer since 2003; I'm a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council for Sports Medicine (ACSM) ; also I am Certified Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist with the American Council on Exercise (ACE); also Certified Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant with ACE; also member IDEA Health & Fitness Association. I'd come back from a long telecoms project in India to my home in Johns Creek, GA and decided I did not want to do projects like that again. So I retired. My wife suggested that I become a Personal Trainer because I have exercised and played sports pretty much my whole adult life. It has turned out to be a good decision. I meet interesting people, help them with serious issues and I benefit through a healthy, active, get up early life style. Early in 2007 I started my website www.bodyrestored.com as means to share my reading with anyone who has the same interests. My training clients have a variety of medical and injury issues which gives me an incentive to keep on learning. At the moment Asthma, Diabetes, Cancer and joint replacements are subjects I spend quite a lot of time on.
